I find this piece special, because not only is it installed in my mom's house, but it consists of all different parts of other larger pieces I have done in the past. It's a little of everything!

These colors continually show up in my work! The ocean is so beautiful. The colors of the land, water and sky are always the best color palette.

One of my newest inspirations! A few of my best friends gave me a Tord Boonje garland light! I am looking forward to arranging this beautiful chandelier! The shapes and designs it makes not only within itself, but also in the space around it is captivating. This piece will forever be transformed into something new!
I have not created any ceramic work in a while, but I have been working on some new ideas! I just finished a huge piece of artwork, my wedding! It was refreshing to work outside of ceramics and to work on design in a new way. I enjoyed the research and working with new materials. I learned more about how I arrange, display and look at forms. Working with mostly ready made objects forced me to make decisions faster and I had to really know what I wanted going into a project. Making so many critical decisions has helped me develop my confidence and embrace my own decisions. I think this will help me when I get back into ceramics and installation work. I am excited to work on some new pieces and incorporate my new ideas!
